The Challenge
As an actor, screenwriter, and producer, Jordan Walker Ross' portfolio is always expanding. He came to our team needing help updating his personal website to be more well rounded and modern.
The Solution
Our solution was to develop an all-new, modern website and design the site around his unique personality and portfolio of entertainment work.
We determined through our sitemap phase, that Jordan's new website needed dedicated pages for each of his tv and film projects. This not only would give fans of Jordan's work deeper insights into each project and character portrayal but also clarify and strengthen his portfolio to search engines like Google.
Jordan Ross is also a beloved podcast host and speaker, so when developing this new website we wanted to guarantee his podcast 'What's Your Limp?' was showcased in a meaningful and deliberate manner. This included the development of a dedicated podcast profile page that gave details about the podcast, the inspiration behind it, and an embedded audio player to listen to recent episodes. All of this was delivered through the development of a powerful Content Management System (CMS) that helps centralize and manage every project, podcast episode and press article.
We would describe Jordan's personality as friendly, inspiring, and real. So when considering the design of the website we wanted it to mimic the feel of getting to know a new friend. We chose a funky serif font and a mix of muted primary colors and bright supporting colors to match his upbeat personality. As you scroll the homepage, each section layers on top of the previous, giving the feeling of depth with a touch of playfulness to mimic the layers of Jordan's story.
We wanted to build Jordan a new website to level up his entire brand's digital ecosystem, ultimately optimizing it for AI and Google Search. Core technical search engine optimization standards were a crucial step one towards that goal. Our next and most critical step was adding custom schema to the website and each project page. This teaches Google in its own language about Jordan Walker Ross, his life, and career.
